Mountain River Wines is situated in the heartland of the wine industry of South Africa. Our head office is in the picturesque town of Paarl, surrounded by the Cape’s celebrated vineyards. Mountain River Group was founded during 1993 by De Villiers Brits, a direct descendent of the French Huguenot De Villiers family who imigrated to South Africa in the late 1600’s. Today it is a proud four generations business.

Mountain River Wines was founded during 1997 as a natural result to be part of Mountain River Group, having established an impeccable record as wine negotiations in New World Wines.
