GlenWood is a family owned boutique winery located in an area of outstanding natural beauty very close to Franschhoek. Our credo “simple, natural, quality” pervades everything we do, be that farming, winemaking, caring for the environment, developing our people or assisting our community.
GlenWood has been developed from scratch over the last thirty three years to become a leading South African wine producer and wine exporter to 12 countries. With only one exception, all our wines are made from grapes produced on our farm, thereby reflecting the unique terroir of our small valley. The wines are uniformly and consistently highly rated by wine judges and have received numerous awards and prestigious listings. We also operate a small, intimate tasting room which offers guests a unique a Fine Wine and Food Experience.
As part of our commitment to protecting the environment, we have dedicated ten hectares to the regeneration of indigenous Cape fynbos and use only environmentally-friendly farming practices. Our accreditation by WIETA attests to the seriousness with which we view the development of our people as a key ingredient of our success. On the wider front, we are heavily involved in a number of projects within the Franschhoek community, most notably “Bhabhathane”, whose objective is to transform education in the Franschhoek valley.
