Heritage
It started with a view. A view that has proved perfect for making wines with soft fruit, dryness, subtly, and freshness. Wines of detail, wines that do this view justice.
Estate history
1991 - The first 7 hectares was acquired by Emil & Sonette den Dulk and 2 years later they acquired the final additional 17 hectares.
1999 - The maiden release of Fusion V is introduced to the world market.
2004 - De Toren 'Z', right bank style is created to complement the Fusion V left bank style.
2011 - De Toren nominated as New World Winery of The Year by Wine Enthusiasts Magazine.
2016 - De Toren V was rated as the best Bordeaux Style red wine in South Africa by South African Wine Index 2016. De Toren Private Cellar was ranked as one of the Top 10 Red Wine Producers in South Africa. Our Fusion V and De Toren Z Bordeaux Blends were awarded Platinum status.
